ATO and the myGov Inbox

The ATO has started changing the way it communicates with individuals and their tax agent.

If you have linked the ATO to your myGov account most of your personal ATO letters will be sent directly to your myGov inbox, rather than to us as your Tax Agent.  This includes notice of assessment, statement of accounts and other notices.

If you receive correspondence from the ATO, you will be notified by email or SMS.  It is important to check your myGov inbox and retrieve the documents.  We ask you to forward copies of the correspondence to us, so that we can manage your tax affairs efficiently.  Alternatively, if you unlink the ATO from your myGov account, the ATO will revert to sending any correspondence to us as your Tax Agent.

If you haven't linked your myGov to the ATO we will continue to receive your ATO correspondence by mail.
